This page describes the information Kite House Studio holds about the people and companies we work with, and about visitors to this website. It is written to be read rather than to be comprehensive; if you need something more formal for a contract, ask and we will send it.
For each project we hold the contact details of the people working on it, the contract and the correspondence about the job, and the media supplied to us. That is the minimum needed to do the work and to invoice for it.
Client media is held on studio storage for the length of the contract, with an offline copy. Where an archive master is retained, the retention period is agreed in writing at the start of the project. Media is deleted on written instruction, not automatically.
Access to a project is limited to the studio crew working on it and to the client accounts created for that project. Accounts are created when a contract is signed and closed when the project is archived. There is no self-registration.
We do not share client material with anyone outside the studio without written instruction from the client, except where we are required to by law.
This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not build a profile of visitors. The client portal sets a session cookie once you sign in, which is what keeps you signed in and nothing else.
The web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses and are used for operating and securing the service. They are retained for a limited period and are not used for marketing.
Messages sent to our addresses are kept with the project they relate to. General enquiries that do not become projects are deleted periodically.
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Write to the address below and we will respond within thirty days.
